Rev. Desmond Redeemer Akrong is the Chief Executive Officer of Anum Rural Bank PLC. He joined the bank in 1999 and worked in various positions as follows; branch Accountant at Atimpoku between 2013 to 2017, Branch Manager at Atimpoku from 2004 to 2006;Branch Manager, Akosombo 2006 to 2012, Branch Manager,Afienya from 2012 to 2013, Branch Manager, Anum from 2013-2017 and later appointed Chief Executive Officer from 2017 to date.
He is a Chartered Banker with over 24 years of banking experience. Holds Post Chartered Diploma in Risk and Treasury Management obtained from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast, a Higher Executive Certificate in General Management from Accra Business School, and Advance Enterprise Risk Management from Enterprise Risk Management Institute.
He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analyst (Ghana).
Mr. Gideon Darkey was appointed as deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Anum Rural Bank PLC on July 1, 2020. Prior to his appointment, he served as Branch Manager for the Bank’s various Branches- Anum Agency (6 months) Atimpoko Agency (2006-2012) Akosombo Agency (2012-2018) Juapong Agency (2018-2020). Mr. Darkey started his Banking carrier in May 2001 rose through the ranks to the current position.
He holds B.A. Administration in Management and Sociology from University of Ghana and ICA Level II.
Mr. Bright Desmond Kwaku Sarpeh is the Head of Risk, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Consumer Complaints Reporting Unit of Anum Rural Bank PLC. Mr. Sarpeh holds an International Executive Master in Business Administration (IEMBA) with a specialization in Banking and Finance from the Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) in 2014, BSc (Hons) in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Coast in 2009, and a professional Certificate in Banking from the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana (ACIB Inter) in 2005.
He has over twenty-two (22) years of experience in banking. Mr. Sarpeh joined Anum Rural Bank PLC in June 2001. He was appointed as the Head of Risk, Compliance, and Anti-Money Laundering in 2018. The board added additional responsibility to his role as the Consumer Complaints Reporting Officer of the Bank in 2019. Mr. Sarpeh worked as an Assistant Internal Auditor of the bank from 2017 to 2018, as General Operations from 2014 to 2016, Branch Manager 2010 to 2013, Relieving Manager from 2008 to 2009, Accountant 2007 to 2008, Assistant Accountant from 2004 to 2006, Senior Accounts Clerk from 2002 to 2004 and Accounts Clerk 2001 to 2002.
He also attended a lot of training programmes organized by the Bank of Ghana, Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), ARB Apex Bank PLC and Association of Rural and Community Banks.
Mr. Emmanuel Prince Odame, with more than 24 years banking experience, joined the Bank 15th September 1998 as a Clerk. He has risen through the ranks to become Assistant Manager. By virtue of his hard work served in various departments of the bank has accorded him with much knowledge and currently serving as the Head of Credit and Investment Department of the Bank. He Holds GCE A Level Certificate.
Andrews Nii Barnor Adom is an experienced versatile IT professional with enormous experience in Information Technology. Prior to taking up his current position with Anum Rural Bank PLC, worked with Akim Bosome Rural Bank for (9) nine years as IT officer and also with University College of Management Studies – Accra as Principal Technician where he started his professional IT career. He is responsible for the management of all ICT resources of the bank.

Florence is a seasoned and experienced Human Resource Management professional with 13 years of experience in Human Resource Management in financial institutions.
Florence holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape - Coast and a BSc of Management Studies (Hons.) from the University of Cape Coast. She is a student member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (Ghana).
She started her Banking and Human Resource Management career with the Akim Bosome Rural Bank in October 2005 as a Banking Officer. In September, 2010, she was designated as a Human Resource Officer. In May 2010, she became the Board Secretary of Akim Bosome Rural Bank, a position she held until September 2014. In February 2018, she joined Sefwiman as the Human Resources and Administration Officer and played diverse roles in the Bank until, October 2022 when she voluntarily resigned. She joined Anum Rural Bank PLC as the Head, Human Resources and Administration in October 2022 Leveraging her wealth of expertise and experience to revamp the Human Resource Management function and practices in the area of recruitment and selection of senior management staff, performance management, learning and development and industrial relations.
Florence brings on board a wealth of experience in Human Resource Management in financial institutions to support the Management of Anum Rural Bank PLC.
Mr. Samuel Ofori Adonteng is a native of Mpraeso–Kwahu. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). Mr. Samuel Ofori Adonteng has been in the rural banking industry since 2016 inclusive of national service. He joined Anum Rural Bank Plc on 3rd October 2022 as Internal Audit Head. He is a hardworking, results-oriented, and deadline-conscious person whose aim is to build a strong internal audit function that adds value improves the bank’s operations, and is responsive to change.
